Characters that are all high level criminals

Wednesday 04.15.2020 at 05.15 a.m. in the freaking early butt crack of a morning

Waldo, that moron,  was a nasty nasty man, never changing his shirt. Man if he ever put a clean shirt on NOBODY would have been able to find him. Maybe he was an exhibitionist and he liked showing off? Who else would even wear a shirt like that one? I never looked because I still don't care where he is.

Did you ever stop to think maybe Carmen SanDiego didn't want to be found? Maybe she was the victim of domestic violence, you ever think of that? You were busy leading her abusive ex-husband right to her, following her accidental clues on her travels around the globe, all while she was trying to get away from this guy? Maybe that was the reason she wore the big floppy hat and sunglasses, because she was trying to hide the black eyes and facial marks, you ever think of that ? That poor woman was hounded until she was killed I bet and it's all your fault.

And what about Dora the Explorer? Whose idea was it to let a little 6 year old girl traipse all over the country leading an illegal animal back and forth across the border? What was she all about anyhow ? Was she a tiny coyote or a diminutive drug mule? I want to just once yank that backpack off of her and take a look at what she was carrying back and forth all the time. Cocaine I'll bet. I mean what the heck? Why else was she always trying to get everybody to speak the same language unless it was because it made it easier for her to do her job moving illegal aliens or drugs into the United States? And don't even get me started about those weird looking Winky, blinky characters. C'mon!

I am a firm believer that Barney the freaking purple dinosaur, was a low level pimp. I think his job was to get the kids, especially little girls, hooked on drugs with the first free doses and then slowly but surely reel them in and force them to to all kinds of wacky crap in exchange for more drugs.

I get it, I know I know, you think I'm nuts. OK, but you tell me ? How else do explain the walking and talking french fries and soda cup? What other explanation besides acid explains Squidbillies? Barney got them hooked , told the kids to follow him, taught them cool little dancing songs just like Charles Manson and then BOOM  talking squids that were hillbillies and they played the fiddle and talked shit? That's not Acid? Right!! You do not even want to hear my Theory about Cat-Dog. Cat on one end, dog on the other, two mouths, no sexual organs, no way to crap and no way to take a pee and that had NOT A DAMN thing to do with drugs? You have to be kidding me?

You have the right to remain silent
  1. The Governor of South Dakota has decided that her state does not need a shelter in place, stay at home order of any kind. She (Kristi Noem), said "We are not NY City, we just don't need it." Over 500 positive tests of the Corona Virus were just discovered in a (pork?) meat processing facility in her state, that was just shut down. What do you make of that?
  2. Who is in charge of wacky crap for sale on TV late at night? Is this now a degree they offer in college? Is it available at the Wharton Business School? I wonder if each network has their own person in charge of finding the weirdest crap? I mean stuff that is way way beyond good old Ron Popeil, the inventor of such late night classics as the Pocket Fisherman, Mr. Microphone, The Set it and Forget it Rotisserie cooker and many many others.

Now we have even better items that they keep bringing back over and over or adding to the line up of goods sold, like Phil Swift the guy who sells the sticky hole filling caulk tape spray in a can that you can make see through fishing boats out of or plug up the inconvenient fish tank holes that suddenly appear while you are holding a roll of their sticky crap tape. Each seasonal change we are treated to newer and better version of the battery operated dog nail sander that's just that easy.

When are they going to bring back the Baby-Smasher 5000?

  3. I would not really want to be an attorney that works with generalized cases once this pandemic has subsided. They are going to be busier than they ever have been with wills, divorces, lawsuits, class actions and everything else. Maybe for them that is a good thing however I think they will be buried under.
  4. I know everyone has tastes that are all their own however for the life of me I cannot understand the appeal of certain forms of TV. I'm sure some folks would probably be bored out of their skulls watching what I watch sometimes , I know my wife wants to scream if I put another Science or Nature show on. She absolutely will not watch documentaries with me that show Lions or Tigers or whatnot looking up from a fresh kill. You know the ones where they look up over the body with a big old bloody face? The blood still dripping from their snouts after they just had their head buried in the belly of a still breathing Wildebeest , entrails flipping off their noses like looking like What?

She will pack up and leave the room , quickness with a sickness!! She will sit and watch hour upon hour of the latest murder, death, kill show in every form, so she doesn't mind the people dying or blood, its just them poor widdle animals....

I on the other hand,  cannot watch more than a couple of hours of that sort before I start to wonder if she is looking for a foolproof way to off me. The ones that have no appeal to me at all (and others just LOVE) are all of this so called "Reality TV" shows, that actually , have no reality built into them at all. Stuff like The Amazing Race, Naked and Afraid, Every version of Survivor, all editions of Big Brother, Everything on ABC right now no matter how "ish" it is, The Bachelor and the female version of it, Tiger King etc.

I honestly do not know if it is any good as I have never watched one minute of any of it and Honestly? I Probably won't. It could be the best TV ever, however it has ZERO appeal to me. I've never watched a second of Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul , The Motorcycle Gang show with Katy Seagal or the derivatives of that show as it just doesn't interest me.  I know why, it's because I am the wrong demographic.

Let me just leave it at that as I am not working up a big insult. Each to their own.
  5. Wal-Mart put a health Clinic on the end of their store in my town.

Oh Oh Goody Goody Goody. Wonderiffic. I can't wait to get my physical at a health Clinic ran by a cut rate cheap crap retailer where everything in the place falls apart in one week and is all plated with the cheapest most horrific junk you can find. That should be a terrific experience getting a shot from somebody whose training will consist of drinking beer and throwing darts.

Let me just say this, so I will be clear.

I WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN THAT PLACE.

I cannot stand going to the store in the first place and I damn sure am not trusting my health to a place that thinks it's a good idea to set a shipping crate in the middle of an aisle full of old useless DVD's and expects you to dig through them for a $4 prize.

Anyway, Gotta Go, Paw Patrol is on,

    BigMike

You are grounded go to your room and stay there

5:31 a.m. on April 14th, 2020

(3.2 decades after the birth of a certain blonde haired beauty)

Please look directly into the flashy thingy:

  • You get to stay up late and eat cake and play video games all you want.
  • All your homework is already done
  • We aint doing math the common core way no more cause that stuff is dumb

I am developing the habit of writing this blog post every morning after I've had a cup or two of coffee. I've taken the advice of a friend of mine who just told me to make it a routine , stick to it and the subjects would flow out of me like they were designed that way. I have no way to know if the advice was any good, whether the posts or the writing is any good, how well it is received or not , whether or not any of it makes any sense and a lot of other things, however they may be correct. I have made it a routine and the topics just fall out of me like it was designed that way. Sometimes I keep pretty detailed notes to get me started, sometimes just a line or two and sometimes just a one word prompt.  The topics come from my head, the news, the MSM , or from one of the other sources I read all the time. Nothing is single sourced and this in itself doesn't qualify as news, It's usually just my opinion and my spin on somebody else's story.

Here's hoping I don't bore you back to sleep. I think I'm going to at least keep this up through the pandemic and then based on the feedback I receive (or the lack of it) , over time I may continue or not. We shall see. What a presumption huh? Presuming anyone actually reads my posts without regard to how witty or clever I think they are, presuming there is memorable content within it that would keep you wanting more or presuming the engagement is enough so that you at the very minimum would finish the current post. I think that's called Chutzpah.

If you presume the writing is thoughtful you may even get the desire to write a few more.Maybe that's how you get started writing, by presuming there is somewhat of a market for your content and then banging away until you determine the market and advancing beyond the current methods until you develop a style or content that either works or it doesn't. What a weird chancy stress filled hobby.

Well, I don't feel any stress yet, this is more like talking and lord knows I can't shut up.

How do writers ignore the rejection anyhow?
  1. There is a huge problem right now beyond the pandemic and the bad weather of the last few days that really , no one is reporting on or talking about. We have a big, fat , gaping hole in our actual food supply. In the stuff we buy every week from the grocery store. The problem is that even though everybody is at home, eating all the time, No one is eating out in anywhere the same numbers we did before the pandemic. There is a whole commercial market out there that is comprised of everything from meat and dairy processors to roadside vegetable sales stands to farmers markets, to warehouses to industrial farm and slaughterhouse operations that are wasting tons and tons of food.

I touched on this the other day, however it bears mentioning again as a warning , because of this loss and the way it is decimating the commercial food market, millions of pounds of food is being plowed back into the ground, millions of gallons of dairy is going to waste. After this is all over the time required to put this back together is going to lag behind the need by about 12-18 months.

You know what happens to pricing when supply is way more than the demand for it? That's right the prices fall. Look at gas prices right now. What do you think is going to happen to food prices when the commercial operations that can recover begin to place orders and the demand then outstrips the ability of the processors to deliver it? Whoa buddy look out. You ain't seen high prices like you are going to in 18 months or so.

    Here comes the next disaster.
  2. Don't get old. There is no manual, there are no quick fixes. Go to the doctor when you are young. Take care of your back, your legs, your ankles and your knees. I wish I would have followed this advice. All of my joints are falling apart and everyone of them is bad and now I have a new problem with major right hip pain problem It was bad enough that they sent me for an Ultrasound of my whole right leg to just be sure I didn't have a blood clot. Man I am sick of pain, problems, doctors, disabilities and limitations.

I can't play any sport at all anymore. I cannot run, I can barely walk, I use a cane and 2 different wheelchairs, can't throw a ball, cannot hit a ball of any kind, can't play basketball, can't play golf. Nothing. I know this sounds like complaining but actually I'm just trying to warn you to take better care of yourself.

We are not indestructible. This sucks real bad.
  3. I sometimes go back and read my posts days later after I have posted them. I have found that in my natural rhythms and in my idiopathic way of expressing myself I have a tendency to use slang, to contract my language to the point where it may be unrecognizable. I use generational language that self identifies me and then I also curse. I curse a lot. I curse to the point where it sounds like the snap of a snare drum in the foreground of my language. I wonder why that is? It is not a conscious thing. When it is conscious decision my language immediately cleans up and looks like it was written by a technical writer explaining a scientific principle. It swings wildly the other way instead of being natural and free flowing. I wonder why that is? My mother always told me that "Cursing just identified you as someone with no command of the language." She might have been correct.
  4. I wonder if anyone thinks about the past few decades as much as I do? I mean I wonder if it natural to want to chronicle as much about my mutual past as I seem to. A friend told me when I mentioned something about this the other day that I was talking about 15 years ago like it was yesterday and he could hardly remember what I was talking about. I didn't bother to tell him that the only reason it was only 15 years ago was because that is where our history began and converged.

With other folks it's a lot longer back and some of it is a fresh as when it happened in my brain. He said, he wiggled, he wondered.

There are eras of folks that I have long term seeming "fresh" memories of and I sometimes confuse one era with another. I forget for example where someone I am talking to fits with this structure. Not an Alzheimer's forget kind of way, just I can't remember whether you are a pre I went to work in Florida or a Post I went to work in Florida person. Knowing that tiny factoid determines where you fit and who you know. Sometimes I will miss identify the era and will get a strange look from someone as they say who are you talking about? It is a tad bit embarrassing, he said, he blurted , he smiled.
  5. We are going to research and identify the proper kind of storm shelter to have and then we are going to get one. I'm am not cowering in the hallway anymore. Anyone have any experience in "safe rooms" or "storm rooms" you would like to share. I do not have a garage so I cannot get one like that. We do have a 3 foot crawl space.

Anyway, until the next time the sun rises and sets,

    BigMike

Life as a Crash Test Dummy

Nerd alert...

Star Date : 04.13.2020 06:02:27 in the Alpha Quadrant

Beam me up Scotty, there does not seem to be intelligent life here,

I try to be a good friend, and in my mind I  really do. Sometimes I fail because I can't understand or interpret the signs and signals that are right in front of me, often times I have let so much time pass that the relationship (the friendship) has gotten stale or grown cold or some other malady has occurred, and I didnt see it happening. Everyone tells me I am the absolute worst at returning telephone calls. In this regard I am a Bum. I've had friendships die that still saddens me because I did nothing to prevent it. Sometimes they were not friendships and I never understood that.

It takes real effort to have friends. Cultivating friendships is much like growing plants I think. You have to have a secure environment, one that attends to the friendships needs of both people, you have to nurture it and you have to occasionally give it attention or like a plant, it may wither and die from a lack of attention.

Also in this equation is the notion that both people have to understand what the friendship is built on. I'm the kind of person that you don't have to talk to every day, I don't need a daily watering to keep a smile on my face if somebody says your name. Other folks need a lot of attention, you can't forget to call them, you can't forget their birthday, you can't forget to cal them or they let you slip down the scale until the connection sorta withers. I hate it when that happens. I never see it coming. I have a very good friend (or three) , that I can call or text whenever it strikes me and we pick up right where we left off (JL, SM, DC) like time hasn't passed and then something will come up to remind us that time has passed and I'm almost always stunned by that. No shit ? Three years? No way. WTF.! You have Grandkids now? What the hell!!
Life on this planet gets more bizarre every day
  1. Last evening and through the night we had storms. SONOFABITCH we had storms. It rained like crazy, occasionally sideways rain and the wind was making crazy ass noises. We have big old pine and cedar trees that go down one side of my property and you could just hear the cracking and popping noises. It was nuts. I'm sure Brian will be picking up tree branches for days this week. Scared the hell out of the animals and humans that live here last night. We survived and it looks as if we have no damage at all but man it was scary.

We had lots and Lots of wind, rain, thunder and lightning for about 6-7 hours. One of my dogs, my little Jack Russell gets so scared during a thunderstorm and last night specifically that he will come in and put both his front paws on my lap like I am supposed to hold him if he jumps up, while I am sitting on the toilet. He doesn't have a problem with the human being half naked, or the water underneath, but he wants HELD dammit! He shakes so bad and is so scared I think sometimes he is going to vibrate at just the right frequency and poof ! he will blink out of existence. He will be of of those Nine egotistical egotists easing in and out of existence.
  2. There is a Geico Ad (for renters Insurance) running right now that has a couple talking about how they love their new apartment . it has a lovely view, its the right money, blah blah blah and then he says "It has a clogging problem", the scene cuts to a family living above them that clogs (dances like tap dancing) while they do everything making a shit ton of noise, as if you are just supposed to say "Oh well, that's life , whatcha-gonnado?"

    New Scene :
Knock Knock : BANG BANG BANG (with force -  with a baseball bat)
Clogging idiot answers the door, "Can I help you"
Me : "What in the hell is wrong with you bunch of idiots? Don't you not understand there are people living under you?, -louder "DO YOU HONESTLY THINK I LOOK LIKE THE KIND OF SCHMUCK THAT IS JUST GOING TO IGNORE THIS. DAMN IT. STOP IT.

YOU BUNCH OF DUMBASSES, HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF COMMON COURTESY. IF I HAVE TO COME BACK UP HERE I AIN'T GOING TO BE NICE ABOUT IT", muttering walking away - "Jesus H. Kickstand Christ on a crutch  how can people be so goddamn stupid....continues muttering". I would not advocate doing this if you can't stand getting punched.

It's not real good and real friendly this is how you get along with your new neighbor advice, however it usually works. I've never had to go back a second time in 40 years of neighbors. Especially after they have heard me and my son going at it.
  3. I have been called just about every name you can think of. I have a knack for inciting riotous behavior in people. You would think a 250+ pound guy with a bad attitude standing in front of you would inhibit folks from being obnoxious. But sadly, no people just don't believe you will act. See That's the problem. Most people would not. They play percentages.I have never been one to suffer fools or put up with shit so it's really stunning the look on someones face when this large person just goes exponentially OFF on their ass. You should see the mouth drop open, it amazing really. I've acted out too much in my life and it is a wonder I haven't been shot, or stabbed, but the honest truth is it doesn't worry me, it never has.
  4. A friend of mine told me (MA) that I was a crash Test Dummy. He was right. I have a big mouth, I can take a punch and just in general don't give an enormous crap. I do try to consider others feelings until I get pissed off that is. I once got suspended while working as a restaurant manager, because of my temper. This man came through the front door and slung a bag of food that had some chili in it directly at me, splashed it all over my shirt (he was like me yes).

My clean, long Sleeved, White Button down Oxford style shirt and tie, with CHILI all over me, he was talking, however I didn't hear him. I had already grabbed a bun board , jumped the counter and went after him calling him a slew of incestous nasty names. A couple of my employees tackled me and he got away. A customer called the office and complained. My boss accordingly then, suspended me. I protested and said "I was defending myself, he threw chili at me, what would you have done?' He said don't misunderstand me, I would have beat his ass, that's not why you are suspended.

He said "Can't have you talking like that , we are a family restaurant."

I enjoyed my three days off.
  5. Here is a very surprising factoid for you.

Believe it or not I do not argue with my wife. We have been married since 1998, I have known her since the 70's, and we have never really had an argument. You know why? I told her "I do not like to argue, I get too mad and say things you won't like, I don't fight fair, I fight to win, I will say things in anger that I can't take back". I said "Just say whatever you you want to me in the calmest voice you can muster, I promise to listen. And then I kept my promise. Somethings are just that important, some promises MUST be kept at all costs. She is the best person I have ever met and is the happiest circumstance I've ever had.

Someday I will tell you about the time I married her with a towel in the back room of a Steak 'n Shake, right before I kissed her and shocked the crap right out of her. It was a blast.

    Another day however.

See ya wouldn't wanna be ya,

    BigMike

Stop, Drop and Roll But only if you are on fire

Easter, yes that Easter , Sunday 04/12/2020 at my own version of a sunrise service at 06 hundred

Dear Fellow believers of the Uncertainty Principle,

Heisenberg's uncertainty principle (click here for the definition)

Newscasters and politicians keep saying that these are "uncertain times" we are living in. They keep beating the phrase over and over like it has a special meaning. Actually, every moment in time is an uncertain one. Only a past moment is a certain one. I make that distinction because if you listen to "them" , it's almost like "they" believe that "you"are waiting on "them" to tell you what to do and what to think next.

To me, that presumption is preposterous. It is Ludicrous. It is silly.

Of course we are not waiting on them to tell us what to do.That is what our wives are for. Or our significant others. Or our spouses. Or our Partners. Or whatever in the hell you call that person who puts up with your shit everyday. If you don't have anyone like that in your life, first, let me say, Sorry for you, hope that is not because you are a waste of human flesh. Second, Go Kiss your mother for doing your laundry and Third, Jesus H. Christ, grow up. Get a job. Get an apartment, Get a car, pay for your own gas, get on board the misery train like all the rest of us you schmuck.

Damn.

Djibouti City is the capital city of the country of Djibouti.

  1. Big Big different big corporation news today is that The Disney Company has announced that it is going to furlough 43,000 of their staff members effective April 19th, 2020. To furlough someone is to effectively lay them off , however there is a distinct difference between being laid off and being furloughed. Not much difference to your bank account but there is a difference. A layoff means you don't have a job anymore. You might in the future , but probably not. A furlough means they are saving your job for you. Both definitions mean you can get unemployment , a furlough means you will probably get called back to work and you may still have some benefits.

In Disney's case they are promising to pay 100 % of their employees insurance costs for up to a year. They also promise to pay 100 % of any Coronavirus testing they may need for all employees covered by Insurance. Those with Insurance also retain all medical, dental and life benefits for one year. All ranks and rates of pay are also guaranteed for one year or through the furlough. Job seniority will continue as long as the furlough does. All of their staff will be able to return to work if they desire once the crisis is over. All of their staff are able to claim unemployment benefits effective at the time of the furlough or 04/19/2020. Amazing.

What kind of Mickey Mouse operation are these guys running anyway?
  2. I am a big fan of TV shows like The Zoo and the derivatives, like The other locations zoo shows and The Aquarium which is shot at the Georgia Aquarium. I especially like the one shot at the Bronx Zoo that has that guy Jim Breheny , who I believe is the Director of The Bronx Zoo. I also believe I read he is the National President of a Zoological society of sorts (?? help) and is the main bass voice you hear when the show comes on and then hear throughout the show. He seems like a decent guy and he obviously knows a lot of what he is talking about. If you watch it long enough you see him working right along with his staff , training staff to do certain things (like handling big Raptors like Eagles) and utilizing his background to advance the mission of the zoo. He is quietly impressive.

Also if you pay close attention there are lessons in leadership , mentorship, managing upwards, Respect, How to treat others and a few others continually demonstrated by him and others on the show. One thing that immediately struck me is how approachable he is. He rolls up his sleeves and goes to work when the situation demands it. He stopped one time to watch a little boy watching a polar bear, pointed out a couple of things, answered the boys questions and then he just sorta walked away. Not once did he feel the need to say to the kid or his mother "I'm the Director of this zoo, I'm a big shot", and the staff member that was with him was comfortable in his presence. Now that was leadership.
  3. Why are we still falling for dumbass scams? People are still answering questions online they should not be answering, playing "quizzes" that have all kinds of personal information in them, posting pictures of their houses, cars, jobs, salary, kids and everything else? Why the hell don't we understand that this is where scammers look for information? Why do we willingly give away information that we would not even answer if someone were to directly ask us? Why do you think you and everyone you know gets friend requests from people who have one picture and the only friends in their profile they have are ones in common with you? Doesn't anyone else find it strange or alarming  that the so called "quiz" or "game" you just played have the same sorts of questions in them that the bank uses for their security questions? Don't you understand that the default setting for someone to see all of your information is for "Friends and Friends of Friends" to have access? It is so easy to see your stuff its stupid.

I just don't get it. STOP IT. Dumbass.
  4. What is it going to take before we understand that so called "Red Flag" laws are thinly veiled attempts to undermine our most basic rights? I am not against taking guns away from crazy people, I am against taking guns (or any property, belongings, rights or freedoms) , away from anyone without a proper court hearing, without a charge, without legal representation. The way this new law in Virginia and in 18 other states are being used is like having a warrant approved by a judge, you are not involved in any way, except your property and rights are taken away and then you may be able to challenge the order. After the guns are gone, after they have been forcefully taken, then you MIGHT get a hearing.  It's bullshit  the way they are doing this, and this is what will lead to more shootings as people defend themselves against what they see as unconstitutional exercises of power.
  5. I would just like to say one thing about the way that Airlines treat ticketing and refunds and changes. ITS BULLSHIT. Why do we put up with this nonsense? Non-refundable my hairy ass. Non changeable my fat ass. What a bunch of stupidity.

If we didn't put up with this crap it wouldn't be happening.

That's where I am, How about you?

Yes I am aware some folks do not like me

sa-TURD-ay April 11th, 2020 at almost 7:15 a dot m dot

Fellow 3rd planet from the Sun dwellers,

Guttan Targ, (he said it wrong and spelled it wrong). Thats why I'm cute and cuddly. I can fracture the language like no one else. Well, having said that I am sure there are lots and lots of people who regularly commit worse daily infractions to the language than I do, however It's my lie and I will tell it like I want to. I heard someone say one time that "What others think about you is none of your business." I've seen it attributed to Deepak Chopra, Eleanor Roosevelt and many more. Essentially it means you have better things to to do and more important things to worry about than what somebody else is gossiping about, even if it is about you. It can really mean a lot more than that, however it also matters in what context it is used and what others say in return. Personally, I do not pay any attention to this drivel because I happen to believe that you are entitled to your own opinion no matter how wrong you are and without regard to the context it is presented in. It rolls off my back like water off a ducks ass. I've seen others just absolutely get IGNITED by this stuff and for the life of me I cannot fathom why, as it just doesn't matter. It never has, never should and never will.

Usually it is younger folks but not always. Some older folks confuse activity with result just as often. They get all worked up, angry and self-righteous when someone just tells them the truth. They (these people who get pissed off) think that in order for their words , deeds and actions to be of value they mus have "RESPECT". which they have misidentified, misunderstood and misapplied as fear. They have believed every gang banger TV show thug who has said the words. To hear someone yell "You better respect me." , when they actually mean "Shut up because you fear me" is a ludicrous concept, yet it is what drives poor , drunken, drug fueled behavior in almost every domestic violence call that the Police department ever responds to. To me it's just the embodiment of ignorance and bullshit.

One of the people whom I respect the most is my brother who is one generation above me. He has been providing guidance and answers for me for my whole life. One thing I can always count on from him is the unvarnished absolute truth. Most people don't care for this and cannot abide it, however I believe that is what defines our relationship. He has a ton of experience I don't have and never will have. He was an active US Marine, he is left handed, he is smarter than anyone I have ever met and my respect for him has zero to do with my fear of him, although that sonofabitch has the quickest left handed slap I've ever seen (or actually didn't see as the case may be, but that's another story). I respect him for the right reasons and it's because I trust him. He is one of the handful of people on this planet I do actually trust. There ya go. That's why I don't actually care if people like me.

A left handed guy can't teach you to hit a golf ball
  1. Who should play the part of Jack Reacher when they resume the movie productions around the world? I mean as far as the acting , Tom Cruise is a wonderful great actor and he had the right attitude, he had the right delivery, he even has the long term credibility as an actor. As Ethan Hunt he is perfect. He has the acting chops to pull it off except for one very tiny , miniscule problem. He is about a foot and half too short and about 125 pounds too light with muscle tone nowhere near the description of the legendary Reacher.

It strained credulity to hear Tom Cruise say "I'm gonna drink your blood from my boot", when I think my old age decrepit ass could kick his. He needed too many weapons to pull it off. So who should it be next time the part is cast? Some unknown muscle man like one of those behemoths from the worlds strongest man competition shows? Someone who has competed and won on the Ultimate Ninja shows? Or should we just look at one of the current crop of action heros, like the Thor guy, or Captain America? Personally, I think their is one or two choices. Either Dwayne Johnson or John Cena would fill the bill and please no more tiny assed actors.
  2. Did you see the story about these people who have recreated the opening sequence to the Simpsons TV show, including the couch gag , during the quarantine and pulled it off to perfection? It is hilarious. You probably will have to search for it to see the video, I can't find it right now. Trust me it is worth spending the time to watch it.
  3. It seems as if  reinvention is all the rage right now. Just this week i have read stories about the reinvention of self from the likes as divergent as Ronda Rousey, Tom Brady and even Mike Tyson. I think what they are really selling is the story of being yourself. I can relate. I truly believe that my biggest aspect of me is just allowing me to be me.I don't try to be someway for somebody else. In terms of how I'm influenced, I think my wife is my biggest influence. She keeps me calm sometimes or makes me think sometimes especially when I can feel me getting pissed off and starting to blow up. All she has to do sometimes is touch my neck, boom, I'm calmer. It's so cool.
  4. My doctors office visit went well yesterday. Talking to those folks while they were wearing shields and masks was a little difficult, but not really bad. The worst thing was that I am deaf. I'll tell you about that later.
  5. When this crisis is over, I think we will see an overhaul of the restaurant business. Menus will and should shrink. SKU's should and will decline and some of the crazy expensive choices may disappear. I sure hope so. I can't wait to see what is next.

Have a great weekend you crazy peeple!!

Don't tell me no lies and keep your germs to yourself

04/10/2020 about 5 hours and 30 minutes after midnight the day before

Yea verily hairy creatures big and small,

Today marks the first time in about 3 weeks where I will be venturing forth into the disease ridden post pandemic world. Well except for when I was the driver when we went to Home Depot. Does that count? If it does then this is the second time. We have to stop at Home Depot on the way for supplies, so, more on that later. For now I have to plan my escape.

I have to go to the doctor today and it's a regular thing. This one is not one where they were willing to do it telephonically or by skype, because if it was I would have done that with a quickness to avoid the sickness. Nah, this is one where I have to actually show up, probably pee in the cup and get banged on the knees and elbows with the little hammer.

Anyway, no worries, I have a plan. No sweat. Usually I am a no new things, don't change things , curmudgeon kinda guy, but in this case, don't tell me no lies and keep your germs to yourself is my new motto.

When we stop at Home depot, I have to get 55 gallon Lawn and Garden trash bags, a pair of big yellow rubber elbow gloves, some fresh filters for my painters breathing mask, a spray bottle of glass cleaner for my diving goggles, a new roll of Gorilla duct tape and a pair of rubber boots. Once I have assembled all the needed supplies and donned my homemade Hazmat suit then I will be ready to enter the doctors office. Man, I don't even want to go. I am the demographic for who dies from this shit and do you know there is sick and injured people at Doctors' offices? Whose idea is this anyhow? Where is Karen? She needs to talk to the manager.

Sardines in the can are packed tightly for a reason
  1. There have been more and more reported cases of infections and deaths in nursing homes where this disease gets a foothold and then just runs through the place killing everybody it touches in the process. Stephen King could not write a better ugly scary novel. My working title is "Exponential Death". One person gets sick and then they infect everyone else , before a single person realizes the original person is even sick. By the time they figure it out it's too late, because the rest of the staff and residents are already sick, dying and dead.

Because of the advanced ages of the people who live there most of them die because their bodies just can't take the stress and poof just like that, Grama is gone. It's sad and inevitable at the same time. We are now reporting this is in the news like it is something we just could not have seen coming, when in fact, It's been coming to this for years. What did we think was going to happen? Especially after the dry run of Hurricane Katrina?

We cut and cut and cut the budgets, got rid of all the planning experts, decided specialized training, insurance coverages and mandated federal levels of care were not needed year after year and this is the result of those decisions. Sort of like what happened with mental health care, but that's another pandemic, for another time.
  2. I wonder what companies are going to do once this is over and we all start traveling back and forth to our dreary little lives in order to clock in and sit at our cute little cubicles, in front of our telephones and computer monitors, where we arrange our post it notes, stapler and telephone to our liking before we begin to work? What happens when they realize the amount of work they got out of their drones at the office was just about the same or more than the amount of work they got when everyone was pretending to work while they napped at home during the day? Oh oh, somebody gonna get busted.

I wonder if there is going to be a new remote call to action as CEO's begin to downsize their fixed costs instead of their people for once , A new normal when they finally get their heads out of their proverbial asses and discover that all along it was the office buildings, the parking spaces, the office doors and the lunch rooms that really were the source of the drain on their economies? Maybe nothing happens however it's something to ponder as all of you remote keyboard warriors are called back to action once this passes.
  3. Right now, today there are LITERALLY hundreds of millions of tons of food and dairy going to waste in the fields of the farmers and dairy producers in this nation. Farmers are making the agonizing choice to plow harvest ready crops back into the soil, to dump millions of gallons of Milk and other items directly into the trash because there is no demand for their products right now. With most restaurants closed in this country there are literally , and I mean LITERALLY billions and billions of dollars of food just going to waste. It's going to waste and there is almost nothing that can be done to stop it, to use it or to prevent it.

It's almost the same thing that happened with Toilet paper. There are two markets for everything in this country essentially. A consumer market and an commercial market. When you close most of the schools, restaurants, business and the commercial consumers of produce and vegetables , you eliminate the orders that, in normal times, would use that product. The plants that produce consumer goods cannot easily supply the commercial markets and vice versa. A plant that is made to produce commercial Toilet paper for example cannot easily if at all switch to making it for individuals consumers. It's a different game making and shipping 12 packs rolls of Charmin and making and shipping a pallet of giant rolls for say, restaurant dispensers. Same goes for produce, vegetables and etc. It's a whole new world Waldo. Some of the companies don't even have the capacity to switch up to, as they didn't make commercial products anyway.

The ones feeling the pain right now? The ones working their butts off? The trash man. Everybody is at home and trash is coming out of our perfect little houses at a record clip. The trash man is working extra days, extra routes and they are hiring like crazy. There's a whole new boom industry.
  4. I have not heard the absolute latest status update, however a couple of days ago there were reports that a lot of the biggest movie chains might not be able to recover from being shut down for so long. Companies like AMC may close for good. Makes you wonder how and if new movies will be delivered and how and If we will be able to see new installments of a favorite movie like maybe Deadpool 3 or Venom 2. It wouldn't be the same trying to watch it streamed on an iphone. Not to me at least.
  5. If nothing else, the Covid-19 response we have seen in the last few weeks should have taught us all some very powerful lessons beyond the stupid things like stop shaking hands, washing our hands more frequently and not to touch our faces as much. It should I think prompt a thought process in this country and maybe the world about taking the power currently enjoyed by the Insurance companies, away from them as they should not have had it in the first place.

My opinion I suppose however i think there should no longer be decisions about medicine made by anyone who is not involved directly in the medical care of patients. WE should put Doctors back in charge of healthcare. I have no idea how to structure this however there are horror stories developing about people making the decision to not get treatment, because they can't get the support of their Insurance providers. Not to mention the lack of Insurance available by millions, or the millions of Uninsured because the products are so tightly controlled by the uber rich that this is the result.

We need a national review of what we should make and stockpile in this country. We need a national review of health care policy, to stop a national HealthCare and Hospital company has absolutely REFUSED to let a Registered nurse take a leave of absence to go where they are needed and help to care for the sick and dying, unless they are willing to quit their current job and re-apply if they want it back when this is over. I know that seems overly dramatic, yet it is a factual retelling of an actual event that happened this week in Rome Georgia. It's disgusting.

That's what happens when we put politicians, accountants and the rich in charge of our health care. What we are doing right now doesn't work, it sucks and it has to change. It wouldn't be like this if we would not put up with it. I won't hold my breath.

    See ya later I hope,

    BigMike

There was once a man from Nantucket

Thursday April 9th, 2020 at purt near 6:45 a.m.

Ha ha ha Made you look! (Random - How does spellcheck know what I was going to say when I completely screw up a word?) Also why have men seemingly forgotten to shave their faces oe brush their hair but there is apparently a thing called manscaping? Inquiring minds want to know.

There is a famous and nasty limerick that starts with those words, If you want to know the rest of it and Don't already know, find your favorite Uncle who was in the Navy and ask him, I'm sure he knows the end of that one and about 3 dozen more of them. I'm not repeating it here, I just used it as a "hook" to see if you would bite and see if I could get you to read the rest of this post.

Did it work?

Enough of that crap. I've always had this overriding philosophy about how we should treat each other. It's pretty simple and at the same time is hard to be honest with yourself and actually do it in real life. Too many things get in the way. We want to be successful and sometimes the one thing standing in our way is some other schmuck who is plodding along in his/her everyday life just trying to get by and the mere fact that they are there means you have to deal with them in order to move on. Sometimes it's an associate, occasionally a peer and all too often it's a supervisor. Man, wish there was an easy way to sidestep it yet, sometimes you just have to stop and take a look and what they are actually doing is asking for a tiny bit of help.

Sometimes that person making the cry for help is you.

I've made it to somewhat of an older age and have discovered that one thing is true and this may help some of you youngsters (like anyone younger than 30 is reading this) to deal with the pressure of modern life. Look back at whatever length of time you've been in the workforce. Follow the path of your career and what do you see? I always wanted to be able to look back and see a path of growth and friends and mentorship. All too often if you are honest with yourself what you will see is a path where an F-5 tornado has been, mostly because we are told in order to survive in the jungle you have to "Kill or be killed, you are victim or you are prey". I've even had people tell me the reason why I never become of the "Big Dogs" is because I didn't have athe "Killer instinct". They were wrong.

I have it, don't make me angry. I am just smart enough I hope,  to decide on my own when it was necessary, prudent and maybe even a smart time to use it. I have found that in my life, you really don't need to pound on people all that much to get what you want out of them. You may have to do that in order to be noticed by another meat eater and get promoted, but that was never my style and I knew it. I never wanted to be "That guy". I sleep better , however I didn't get the stock options. Oh well.

Philosophy really isn't a 4 year degree
  1. Why do we advocate as a species that we should do the right thing? Why do we embrace a guiding principle that contains advice that means to look out for others? My take on this is pretty easy and seems circular in nature until you go look at that person staring back at you in the mirror and say these words "You do the right thing , because It's the right thing to do." There is no other reason.

There are explanations and justifications and such that apply to this principle but there is only one reason. You say things like "What you do in the dark will be exposed in the light" and "Mama said telling the truth means you have to lie a whole lot less" and a slew of others, but what it distills down to is a way of thinking. Basically, do you like sleeping? Do you want to stay sane? Do you want to be a sociopath the rest of your life? Its just that easy , and hard. The thinking about it is the easy part. Now go look in the mirror and do it. That's the hard part.
  2. Health care workers who are staring down death on every shift they work and are facing the worst days in their professional careers are some of the most principled people I know. They could have cut and run (I'm not sure where to but..) however they haven't done that so far. I've read virtually no stories about this. They pull up their pants and go to work. Scared, worried, crying and stoic, they just go to work. Their stores are amazing and I can see a slew of made for TV movies coming. They just soldier on. Day after Day. The fact that they do is astounding.
  3. I am in a battle of wits with my dogs and I am sure I have lost and am just now able to admit it. I have one dog that must be ex-infantry in another life based on the foxholes he digs. He sheds an entire dog from his underfur every other day. You should see it !! It's amazing. His buddy went through a phase on the hole digging like this and then stopped. I have one little dog that If you took it outside to do her business 20 times yesterday she would still usually find a way to crap on the floor somewhere. I have one that I think is mentally ill. He snaps at flies I can't see, barks at things I can't find, hears things no one else does, and seems ferocious. That is until there is a hint of a rainstorm, then he vibrates at a frequency which renders him invisible and goes under the bed until it's over.

One is the big brother to all the little dogs and will start a fight with anybody especially if he is bored. One is old and grouchy and is a dog curmudgeon and yes, will bite your ass if you ain't paying attention and is nearing the end of his reign and now has started to be unable to hold it any longer than he told you , when he said "Open the door, I gotta go." If you weren't paying attention, sorry about your luck, Here's a pile of Cigar sized poop for ya. They all think they are magicians and escape artists and you would not believe the lengths I have had to go to in order to secure the 5 foot tall fencing holding them in the backyard. Literally dozens of no nonsense, prison grade barriers had to be constructed in order to keep these little mobsters in the can. Unbelievable.
  4. I have a lifetimes of former employees, associates, friends , peers and supervisors on my facebook profile from three industries, of people I have kept in touch with over the years. In that group just about every profession under the sun is represented from Executives to business owners to High class but blue collar workers to Supervisors in their own right to every other circumstance in between. Look at how successful you all have been! Amazing to think I knew you when you made milkshakes or were a long haired teen ager, or had just graduated from school and were out looking for employment. I'm astounded at how diverse and brilliant some of you turned out to be , and how resilient you all have shown your lives to have became. With teen agers of your own, I'm just a fading and long ago memory but through my lense looking from the past through to today I could not be more proud of you guys.

If however If we were all to run a restaurant today (and were able to ignore the aches and pains of aging), do you know how Kick ass of a place it would be? Combined with all of your personalities and your talents , I'm convinced it was a right place, right time moment. Frozen in time, there was and is nobody who was ever better. I mean that.

In another sort of look at the people from above, look at how many relationships you all have had that lasted 10 + years or more. I know one thing, we kicked the ass of every average there ever was concerning it.I'd put all of you up against any other group of folks and know we would win, big time, hands down, no contest.
  5. In the past few days I have seen mosquitoes the size of saltine crackers, black ants in the thousands and and we are inundated by goddamn June bugs out the ass. It's April for crying out loud! I've seen mice, snakes and rats this year like no other, so at least the birds of prey and the coyotes should be well fed. The number of fire ant colonies that look like freaking termite mounds from South Africa is amazing.

In one half acre I had ten of those little jhadi bastards fer cryin' out loud! We have had about 20 or so inches of rain since December so I'm already into the grass harvest season this year. Usually it late April before that crap starts but not this year.

As my Dad used to say "Jesus Katie Christ on a crutch". I always say Jesus H. Christ , but ever since Barack H. Obama was elected President,  I have always wondered if that "H" meant Hussein.

I suppose without a long form birth certificate, the world will never know.

    Thankx-

    BigMike

One ping only Vasily, Give me a single ping

6:20 a.m. on Wednesday April 08, 2020

Dear Fellow weirdos and followers of weirdos,

There is a great Movie I just love called "The Hunt for Red October" from a book by the same name written by Tom Clancy. If you know it, then you don't need or even have to agree with my synopsis, however It's one where Alec Baldwin plays Jack Ryan and it has this great scene where the Captain of the Russian sub says the words in the title to his second in command. Great story, great Movie, weird that one of the worlds great scottish actors (Sean Connery) is playing a Russian  sub commander. Also fairly seamless how they switch from Russian to Scottish English in mid sentence in one scene and if you're not paying attention you just might miss it.

I'm one of those people who will latch onto a movie and if I happen to Like/Love said movie, will watch it over and over and over again, memorize the dialogue (ask my wife), quote dialogue at every opportunity (again, ask my wife) and will drive you insane using movie quotes and dialogue in everyday conversation until you are exasperated (again really ask my wife, she'll tell you, as justification for shooting me) and then drop a pop quiz on you asking "What Movie is that from?", non stop until you roll your eyes, sigh repeatedly and then with high drama will leave the room. Or at least she used to.

Now she worries the crap outta me. She knows every single one of my movie lines. She can finish my movie quote sentences for me. She doesn't roll her eyes any more, instead she now searches her brain looking in her mind's eye for the right movie to go with the dialogue I just blurted out so she can just say it and blunt my forward momentum. It's getting to be the scary because  I have to dig the deepest I ever have in order to get a quote over on her. I mean deep.

I have not yet resorted to cheating by using Google as a resource and planning in advance , however I'm not far away from it. She got a reference to "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" the other day and she HATES Sean Penn and that movie. It's right up there on the Porky's stupid list as she absolutely loathes the sophomoric stupid ass humor. I'm going to have to come up with strategies man, I don't know what else to do.

Please don't ask me to have normal conversations, I will be exposed for the inept  fraud I am.

The new word of the day is "SNOTBOX"
  1. Yesterday I learned there is a coronavirus death in America about every 45 seconds. Maily this is due to the high number of active cases and our huge population, however my immediate reaction was just "Yikes".
  2. A story in the news today reports that when Boxer Mike Tyson, the 80's baddest man on the planet, (hell he still might be , I don't want to find out), was married to TV start Robin Givens, he rented out a zoo (The Bronx zoo maybe?) for the day while it was already closed for some reason. While touring the zoo he observed a silverback Gorilla "bullying" the other weaker , smaller Gorillas (allegedly).

After this observation he supposedly offered a zookeeper $10,000 to open the cage and allow him to either fight the gorilla or to just punch him in his face , I was never clear one which one. Allegedly he said "I offered the attendant 10K to open the cage and let me smash him in his "SNOTBOX", however he declined". I'm not sure but the Gorilla may have escaped something there.
  3. Is it just me or am I the only person who goes to bed at night only to go to work at a job I had from about 1989-1994 or so? I wake my wife up talking shit about being a restaurant manager , giving direction, talking to customers, hollering at "Dick to get me something from the back room." and other nonsense. Clear vivid memories from 27 years ago of bussing tables, taking out the trash, unloading supply trucks, the intensity of Lunch and Dinner hours , the phone ringing off the wall, all that stuff. Then I wake up tired as hell from working so damn much and can't go back to sleep and it 4 a.m. and time for my fat ass to get up anyway.

Rinse, repeat , day after day. The only changes are sometimes the locations are different and occasionally the brand or the job is different. Sometimes I'm an assessor, sometimes a truck driver (all true jobs), sometimes a district manager. Work , work, work and amuse my wife , who is laying over there listening to me talk trash all night. It is damn goofy I tell you.
  4. I am starting to wonder how we lived this long as a species , considering all the lawyer ads on TV that keep coming up talking about how the jobs or activities we had, may now mean we are owed compensation by somebody or some organization. Asbestos, Talcum Powder, hearing aids, Mesothelomia and on and on.

Someday I can hear it now "Were your feelings ever hurt or did you develop an ass-rash from a meme you were exposed to on Facebook or Instagram or other social media ? If so you may be owed compensation if you were not offered a safe space to cry about it. Call us now at 1-800-Butt Hurt
  5. I installed a solar powered battery charger to the battery on my jon boat. I'm going to mount it today. The battery will never be left uncharged again. I am so smart. It will probably blow up knowing my luck, but cha know. I named my boat "Dain Bramaged". Kinda fits don't it?

Do you feel more like a cow now?

Tuesday April 7th, 2020

Reporting from Earth for 3 score and two years now....

Mork calling Orsen , Mork calling Orsen,

They live among us these freaks of nature for whom we have no real explanation for. Some play beautiful instruments, some are genius mathematicians and other are fine physical specimens and dominate our sports for the entire generation.

Then there's this guy. Read on.

Five interesting scary stupid and annoying things

  1. There is a story in the news this morning I laughed at pretty good. Not to laugh at stupid people in ignorant circumstances, however one of the men involved seemed to be a truly ignorant soul.  Some guy (I don't know the details) broke into a house. The occupants of the house heard him (The wife heard him), wakes up her husband who is a  championship caliber MMA  FIGHTER, and tells him to go find out what the hell with the guy yelling loudly downstairs is all about.

Dutifully, MMA husband goes downstairs while wife and children shelter in a spare bedroom and call the police. All hell breaks loose, and in the ensuing fight , elbows , knuckles, knees and fists are employed in spurious fashion and the guy just keeps coming back for more. He gets the holy crap beat out of him and finally the MMA Fighters mother in law hands him a butcher knife, the guy is subdued, cops arrive, arrest the guy, who by the way is an absolute bloody mess. As he is being led away he looks at the MMA fighter dude and says "Sorry Man."

Some kinds of drugs are bad for you said Mr. Mackie . mmm-kay.
  2. We bought a Subaru Forester about one year ago, its a 2019 model. I researched it on a lot of places and looked it up and read about it on Consumer reports among other places. Its rated very highly in every category. Safety, Resale value, Crash Survivorship , and a few other characteristics are all number one and depending upon whom, you believe it is rated as the number one vehicle in North America. A very close second is the Toyota RAV4 , which my daughter bought for herself.

The only thing is the liftgate on the back. That damn thing has a mind of its own. I've read the owners manual, asked Subaru about it, read about it online and researched it just about every way possible. I cannot predict when its going to open if you use either of two key fobs or the button on the interior. Its seems to have programming which rewrites itself on the fly. Its sorta maddening, however we are nothing if not adaptable, so we just scurry our little fatasses out of the car and hit the button on the outside to open it for now. I have to remember to mention this to my wife the next time she takes it in for service, to have this inspected for spectral alliances.
  3. Did you hear that the Prime Minister of England, Boris Johnson, is hospitalized in the ICU in a hospital in England? He is in critical condition , is very ill and just might not make it. I don't know much about the guy except to say he was a major player in Brexit and a lot of folks don't like him. I would not wish this crap on my worst enemy. Hope he recovers, as no one deserves to die like this shit kills you.

The situation is bad enough, that the Queen herself gave an address to the nation yesterday, which BTW, almost never happens anymore. Not that you care, I just found it to be telling. At first, they did decline to treat anyone thinking it would just run its course and naturally immunize everyone in the country. Changed their tune limey-quick on that one i'll tell ya.
  4. I live in a small county of  maybe 40K people? We were discussing the other day that maybe we should see about moving to a cave or a big ass tent for the duration. Can you get away from this shit? Probably not. I'm trying to be very careful because I am the target demographic for the poor bastards who die from this nightmare.
  5. I just read one of the great quotes of all times. Read it for your self on Instagram on the profile of @SteveWinterPhoto . In talking about the practice of the Chinese and other people buying meats from so called "wet markets", and then cooking Tigers and Lions and etc, with the object being to somehow inherit the strength or characteristics of the animal being eaten.

He said something like "Don't eat Exotic meats and products made from exotic animals. Do you somehow feel more like a cow when you eat a cheeseburger?".
I can't beat that, I'm out.

I hear 45 caliber is just the right size

Monday April 6th, 2020 at purt near 5:30 a.m.

Look over yonder and sech and see ifn Grandma is home,

Hey younguns,

As you may know or not, I have a very high level of disregard for most advertising in most forms at most levels. Everything from the crap they hang on shopping buggies (yes, damn it,  I said buggies) and put up on the side of Taxi Cabs to the junk they hang in fast food restaurants to the crappy television characters they create. They (the advertisers and the agencies responsible) create this crap and then they barrage you with it over and over and over, until you want to shoot the TV screen or change the channel at the very least. The ones I hate the most right now are produced by Liberty Mutual and star that sonofabitch Doug and his stupid Emu. That comes on in any form and I am quick draw McGraw with the mute button or I will change the channel. It straight pisses me off to have to watch or even listen to that drivel.

My wife says I am taking it to the extreme as most people can simply ignore it or leave the room. I have to curse at it and take some kind of action. When it comes to advertising and the mute button I am my own voice over actor and am a drama King. Same with the dumbass Gecko and I especially have a huge loathing wide fiery space in my heart that was full of kindling and a raging bonfire for the stupid BOX character from Progressive. I know it seems like its all Insurance, however trust me, that's just right now. I have a lot of hate in a lot of varieties for a lot of that stupid shit. If your company puts out this nonsense, trust me, I won't buy squat from you for any reason unless and until you cease and desist with the crap.

Here's one thing I want to know though? Why does the woman in the State Farm commercial care what "Jake from State Farm" is wearing , and I wonder why in the hell that was her first question? What if Jake had been someone like me who would have recognized the female change in voice and responded with something like "What do you want me to be wearing honey?". I wonder why wasn't she shown as embarrassed after she asked such a stupid question or why didn't she at the very least apologize to her husband? What did she think he was doing at 3 a.m. in the living room fully clothed asking questions? Listening to a video of Pornhub on the phone? It's just ridiculous and they are just stupid (or we are I'm not sure).

Deep Dives are sometimes boring not scary
  1. I am noticing stories that are starting to become more prevalent about how ammunition is becoming scarce. People are buying more and more and stocking up ( is it because they are scared?), and the usual places are running low on supplies. One of the people I follow on Facebook had a post where said he thought folks might be wiping their asses with it, hence the 45 caliber reference in the title, relating hoarding of bullets to the shortage of TP.

Anecdotally it seems like shooting, home invasions, daytime robberies and burglaries are on the rise so maybe there is something to that element. It would be a mistake for anyone to come here as everyone who lives here is armed most of the time. Oh well. Buy bigger trash bags I suppose.
  2. I was educated about the existence of a concept / video / theory called "Event 201" yesterday. I have not had a chance to look at it or research it so this is not my opinion on it, but at first glance it looks interesting. If you have more knowledge I'd be interested in hearing about it.

Also apparently there are numbers which further illustrate the death issue surrounding Covid-19 and a different static measurement where by Closed Cases  (Had the disease and either survived or did not, the disease had fully run it s course) and Deaths as a percentage of those cases are around 21%.

The death rate usually is expressed as a percentage of all cases (diagnosed, under treatment, survived and Died) versus those who have died. It is a different way to express the number and it excludes those diagnosed and in active treatment, unless the disease has run it course. I'm not sure I understand the significance.
  3. The US Surgeon General Vice Admiral Jerome Adams (who is usually but not always a symbolic position),  was quoted yesterday as saying (sic) "The next week will be our Pearl Harbor event", apparently he was referencing the rising death toll of the illness called Covid -19. Scary when anyone talks like this.
  4. How the hell does a tiger test positive for Covid-19 in a zoo, when there are allegedly not enough tests for humans to take, the labs are allegedly backed up for days/weeks and the vast majority of humans have no idea of their own exposure or status ? There is something odd and wrong about this and I'm not sure I get the logic.
  5. Went to Home Depot yesterday. Had to pick up some drywall. Wow !!, What an amazing Clusterfied forcible anal penetration that was.

First go stand in line, in the sun (and I mean all bunched up , but not me!!), then only one way in the store, one way only, one way to go shop, pay, exit either at the pro loading zone or the garden center.

Placing an order ahead of time to limit time spent was pointless as even though the email said your order is ready , it was not and it took 30+ minutes once we pulled into the loading zone to get our drywall and the rest of the items we ordered. I know companies are trying to do their best to help us survive, however I have no idea what good they thought this did. Apparently they are only allowing a certain number in the store at once however it was pretty negated by the bunching around both doors, it was a little crazy.

Have a wonderful sunny day friends and for God's sake, don't step in the dog poop!!

Its either a birthday or an anniversary today

Sunday 04/05/2020 at 6:00 a.m.

Knock knock
Who's there?
Open the door dumbass, you saw me through the peephole,

Hello people persons who achieved maximum human waste control with the use of clean water,

Once upon a time in Indiana my parents got married. Later they also celebrated the birth of my youngest brother. One of those events took place on April 5th and the other on April 6th. I'll be damned if I can ever remember which one is which. So between today and tomorrow happy bithaaversay Geo. I can't ever get it right. I could cheat and look at my calendar, but wheres the fun in that?
Unidentified mental objects from the Multiverse

  1. I live in Georgia. Our illustrious Political leader, Our Brilliant Governor of the (R) behind his name variety, the brilliant man who gave us shotguns pointing at children in his political ads, the Brainiac who as Secretary of State for Georgia enacted reforms which kicked thousands of legitimate voters off the voting rolls because of the use or non use of commas, the man who did not know the meaning of the word asymptomatic until Wednesday despite several and repeated attempts to educate him, that guy, Brian Kemp, has decided to re-open the states parks and beaches as part of his stay at home and shelter in place order. Stay at home and go to the beach. OK. Huh?

He's also decided that any local leader who refuses to do so, faces jail time for disobeying his executive order. I shit you not. Please do not ask me to explain the logic  it as I have no understanding of stupidity as complete as this. It is as completely faulty logic and is as ignorant a thought process as I have ever seen. This man is a complete idiot. He will probably get re-elected.
  2. 10 Million people have filed for Unemployment in the last two weeks. Without regard for your political bias in understanding or explaining these numbers, that's a lot of fucking people out of work at once. Not including any of the people they never count anyhow, KA-Pow - Bam no job. See ya, wouldn't wanna be ya.Too bad so sad, Little Timmy has to put water on his cereal now. Even if they get unemployment, it won't be anywhere near what they are used to receiving from their jobs, and won't last near long enough to pay the bills.

3.3 million last week and 6.6 million this week.

To make matters worse guess what infrastructure is not robust enough to handle this kind of unforseen influx? That's right, State unemployment web servers, who have been crashing like a 16 year old taking driving lessons from Ferris Bueller. Not to be a purveyor of doom and gloom, but the projections say this could be in a range of 20-40% unemployed before it peaks and no we ain't even close to peaking yet, nowhere near it.
  3. In the same vein of data mining but a different kind of  mineral, overall numbers don't tell the complete tale. As bad as those dumbass numbers sound here are some even more ignorant ones. Depending upon where you live and what size your town is, those numbers could be even worse. If your city has a vibrant and diverse employment base then you may not see anywhere near this kind of damage. You may never reach 15%. Yay! Silver Linings huh?

However, if your town is largely dependant on a single style of industry . say like carpet mills for example, and you live in a town or county  of say 40,000 folks, you could be looking at the higher end of the scale. Image if your town suddenly had 16,000 people unemployed and all of them had to stay at home. Booo- No Silver Lining Huh? Just be glad you don't live in a coal town that they are going to revitalize somehow.

Talk about a growth industry ? The criminal and divorce lawyers will be having their best year ever. Geeze. I hope I am so wrong I get laughed at and it never happens.
  4. You remember Samuel L. Jackson  reading the book "Go to fuck to sleep?"
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cb0t9TUNLpg

There is a new one. Samuel L. Jackson has a new reading called " Stay the Fuck at Home."
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOaLKJHsFRQ

Both are vulgar and both are funny as hell.
Be forewarned, both contain the "F" word.
Click the links to watch them.
  5. You can tell how bored people feel and how isolated they are if you read Facebook a lot. Where Meme's used to rule the day, there are now posts with actual user created content. Haven't saw that for 6-8 years or so. I've been asked to play along in several categories this week alone. Specific  Pictures, songs, Camera rolls and what not are all being used to stir up creativity. Also more and more quizzes and things like what does your astronomy sign say about you. One said because I was a Sagittarius that apparently because of that, I am Satan. Go figure.
Go have fun kids, play outside in your own yards, and stay in the backyard. Don't let the damn dog out either. Mommy and Daddy have to finish making the bouncy construction noises. We will let you know when the doors are unlocked again.

Bye-

Skeletons are not scary prove me wrong

Saturday April 04,2020 at ah I don't know about 9:25 a.m.

Hey you organic meat bags!

There is an old saying I have heard occasionally about how everyone has skeletons in their closets, or how occasionally the skeletons fall out of the closets and in haunted houses the skeleton jumps out and scares people to death. I understand the sayings but dont totally agree with the impact, as I don't think skeletons are all that scary. Remember that scene in one of the terminator movies where the T-800 was doing skin or eyeball repair? He was splashing blood and tissue in the sink and making a mess? See the skeleton wasn't scary , It was THE MEAT ! The meat is scary as hell. Just think, on the average 150 pound person there is over 100 pounds of living, breathing , bleeding MEAT, that you have to get through before the bones even matter.

That's the problem with this virus. It isn't a broken bone or something we totally understand how to treat and heal. On this thing we think we get the basics maybe , and I am talking about cell repair and regeneration and stuff like that, yet we have no clue how to prevent this disease nor do we know yet how to inoculate you from it's most serious symptoms. We have a rough understanding of how to save your life and prevent you from dying, IF you know enough to get to the doctor soon enough, IF you have a way to see the right kind of doctor and IF your doctor has the information, equipment , space ,medicine and training he/she needs to begin any kind of treatment regimen designed to keep this thing from killing you. And those are all big fat IF's too.

The ridiculous nature of life gives us too much thinking time

  1. Several things I've often wondered about and really never said it out loud before. They are ridiculous things I know, but they bug me sometimes. Things like :

    A) Why do we revere old people as wiser versions of ourselves when actually it's just US , older, still dumbasses and somehow we survived the mistakes? Generally speaking they are just as dumb as us, but with way more experience. My grandfather used to tell us that a sock soaked in bacon grease and tied around our neck would cure a common cold , or a migraine, or just about anything else too come to think of it. He was about 80 and that's pretty dumbass. How did he survive?
    B) How old were you when you realized there is / was never no parenting manual? That nobody knows what the hell they are doing and that in fact  EVERYONE is winging it and making it up as we go? Same thing with relationships, marriage, growing old and every other damn thing there is?
    C) How did evolution occur that turned certain words in certain societies into bad words , which later made into slang or curse words then become offensive words, but only when pronounced in a certain way in your language? (Words like shit, fuck and so forth)
    D) There are TV shows about these 600 pound people on now. Everything from how they want to be bigger, to they are too big,  to they now want to lose weight. What I want to know is if our society is getting to be obese, and 65% of us are fatties now, How do the Ultra Fat among us wipe our asses? Why don't they ever show any of these folks trying to straddle a normal sized toilet? Is there an underground society of specialized tools sold on fatty only websites to allow them to wipe their asses? And if there is , then why hasn't the rest of the world heard about it, since most of us are fatties now? What gives?
    E) You ever see the pictures of the women with the 10 foot long fingernails? So how do they do anything requiring the use of their hands? One woman had 28 feet 4 inch nails according to the Guiness Book of World Records. My God! And in relation to Point D above, hows that happen?
    F) Why is there braille' notation of the drive thru ATM Keypad?
    and the beat goes on.......
  2. I saw a meme the other day that said that the year 2020 was written by Stephen King and the movie was directed by Steven Spielberg.  My response was just to say I'm glad it was not directed by Michael Bay. Can you imagine?
  3. I reconnected with an old friend last night. A Man I really like and whom I call friend (and a helluva fisherman) and I don't use the term lightly. I am one of those people who know I have a big mouth and know I irritate folks sometimes. He asked me what happened? Why we are not friends on FaceBook anymore? He basically asked me if he got on my nerves? See that's my problem, I recognize it when I am running my own big mouth and I hate to bring disruption to anyone's life.

See? I had already done that to another friend , whom I considered a very close friend and it cost us the friendship, she basically just stopped talking to me and I was pretty sad about it. It was over before I understood it, and I have regretted it ever since. It's never my intention to offend you or to make you want to shoot me. If I have done so , I am very sorry. It sucks to know that my opinionated loud mouthed ass drives people away. Normal life is a restraining order. I hate having too much time to think.
  4. The Mayor of NYC is asking for a National Draft of Health care workers, calling up those who have retired, left the field, served in the military, couldn't get credentialed here but were trained in other countries, etc. He says we need thousands of people , hundreds of thousands of volunteers. Can you imagine a knock at the front door, and some FBI agent or an Army captain is standing there saying "Hello, are you named such and such? Can you pack a small bag and come with us please?", I'm telling you , gurneys in hallways, people dying in tents, civil war medicine. It's all coming. Crap.
  5. The absolute correct term in order to describe society right now is "EffinShitShow". As bad as it is , its only get gonna get worse, because we have not peaked yet, ya feel me DAWG?
A friend of mine whom does not own or watch TV, does not receive much in the way of news just found out about the stay at home order yesterday. He was pretty shocked as I explained it to him. Made me sad.

PhuckiePoopie.

It puts the mask on its face or it gets the Lysol

4:25 a.m. on Friday April 03, 2020

This link is RAW and Its Is Gruesome, be warned.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cvbEhBKUdTQ&t=9s

Hey there kids,

Way back in time oh I don't know maybe 50-60 years ago before any of you were born or thought of , the US was involved in a little dust up of a battle called "Vietnam". You may have heard the 25 year old  guy on the corner of the interstate who was begging for cash and holding a sign that said he was a Vietnam vet talking about it, but more likely it was 3 questions on Mrs. Johnson's social studies quiz in 5th grade that said "Vietnam was a : Pick the best answer on a pop quiz. You may even have a relative who served over there and who won't talk about it, however that's maybe how you even know the name.

At any rate one of the weird things that began during the reporting of that war was this strange obsession the news (or maybe the military)  had with body counts. That is what the youtube link in the beginning of this story is about. It's raw news footage from ABC News that's about 3 minutes long and BE WARNED Its is RAW and Its Is Gruesome War footage. News reporting from the field sort of looked just like this and you can see more just by typing Vietnam News reports into the youtube search bar. Every news broadcast had a body count segment buried in it somewhere and it became a key metric the US Military had for measuring success when it came to winning this war. If they were not directly talking about it, they were broadcasting dead bodies blown apart and shot up live and in color.

Mix 2 parts reporter with one part number cruncher and you get
  1. I am seeing the same thing using almost the same style of leads and the same intensity when it comes to reporting on this pandemic about the Covid-19 virus. I almost fell into the trap myself in my last 2 or 3 post where somewhere in it I talked about how many were reportedly infected  and how many deaths have happened.

I've came to the conclusion however that not only is it not needed in order to write about it, factually its not necessary. Not one bit. Here's why. No one cares, until it hits close to home or it in your family. 50, 500, or 500 deaths really don't mean anything to anyone until its one of your family members or somebody you know. The point is CoronaVirus or COVID-19 reporting feels like combat reporting. It's some scary shit.
  2. The problems surrounding the treatment of this disease are voluminous, and have a variety unlike almost any other. We have almost no experience on this planet at treating something like this. It hits us where we are weakest, where we are most unprepared and where it hurts the most. It turns out that blaming the politicians while fun and very popular is not real productive and is a complete waste of time.

We are weakest in the areas that it attacks. That's what we need to think about. The number of ICU beds , the number of beds overall, The numbers of staff to treat it and the equipment needed to treat it are all areas where we have no experience, numbers or relevant background or ready made off the shelf plans that will lead the way in fixing the death spirals. No one can pull the emergency Pandemic play book of the shelf because quite frankly, there isn't one. We are making it up as we go.

Gurneys of people sitting in Hallways are coming. Volunteer call ups are already needed, we can't train people fast enough to make a difference and all the Ramp up memos in the world will not fix a system that has no statewide or federal system wide capacity to fill it.
  3. You will keep hearing this refrain for a long time into the future. - "We need to Flatten the curve", and what that means is that new case transmission numbers have to be attacked so we can get in front of this thing and have a snowball's chance in hell of fighting it effectively. The point is that every place, every state, every locality has a different curve that is molded together to make a National track on this plague.

Iowa and New York will peak at very different times because of a lot of factors, however primarily it is because of when it began in each area.  What we actually need to do is recognize that and deploy resources on a rolling basis. We may need 10,000 ICU beds and Ventilators in LA this week, but 3 weeks from now those beds and that equipment will be needed in another place like Texas or somewhere else. The point is you seriously cannot expect 50 seperate states to be able to manage that.

That's where we need a Federal response. I wonder how fast it will be recognized by people with the education and schooling and experience? So far I've seen nothing to indicate that that have even became aware of this. According to the task force, "..each state has to make their own decisions." In other words, "Good Luck Pal,you're on your own."
  4. OH BY THE WAY? You remember that Federal stockpile of emergency goods like masks, gloves and ventilators and such? Well it turns out we misunderstood the purpose of that stockpile. They were gracious in sharing it with the states, but that stockpile was never intended for you, it was intended for us. It was never intended to be for the states to use, it was always intended to be for use by the Federal managers and the Federal agencies.

At least that is something that has been discussed with and directly attributed to Jared Kushner, of what in the hell his job is anyway at the White House. He said (sic).."The Federal Stockpile wasn't for the states to use anyway, it was for US, it's our stockpile" (I am not 100% sure about the actual quote , therefore the sic notation). Thank god for the clarity provided by the experienced real estate magnate leading the charge. He made it so much more clear.
  5. FACT: - Science does not care if you agree. Science does not care if you believe. Science does not care if you can memorize and quote the entire bible forwards and backwards. Science doesn't care if you are smart or are the stupidest Human being alive. Science doesn't care if you are confused, mad, a democrat or a republican or if you are even aware of how deadly this disease is. Science doesn't care if you live under a rock and have never talked to another human being in your life. If you do not take this virus seriously and do not take the precautions that are being broadcast everywhere you look, Science will KILL YOU.
Whew I'm just a harbinger of good thoughts ain't I?
As Bugs Bunny once said "Aint I a stinker?"

Everybody wants to be a comedian

its 05:10 am on Thursday April 2nd, 2020

In recognition of your many years of faithful service we acknowledge your presence, and present you with this wordy and fun filled blog post. Good Morning fellow sufferers, what you just heard ? Well that was the sound of another PING on your device, either a computer but more and more likely it was your phone, and it's an oblique reference to the 2020 equivalent of the 1950's newspaper hitting the front porch. Only this aint a newspaper and I occasionally curse. Usually I mean to, however occasionally it gets sorta out of control and gets carried away with itself and takes on a life of its own. I hope you know what FFS means and if not ask somebody before you read this post.

I remember telling people that I say the "F" word so much that it takes on a staccato rhythm  that it breathes fire into my thought structure, that it no longer exists as a separate element but rather as a complimentary thought. Like "Fuck, that was fine!". It feels natural to me. When someone reacts negatively or says please don't curse, I probably look at them like they have a third eye or something because that's so strange to me. Weird huh? Even I think that has a pressure valve sort of element to it. Full disclosure, in case you didn't know, my real life wife is a Registered Nurse with over 38 years of experience in many disciplines including some where people suffer and die on a regular basis. She's dealt with daily tragedy so often and in so many different waves that the first thing I give her every day is just a hug. Just a good old hug, because I cant make it better but I can help to absorb it , even if just a little. She just recently stopped working in a large hospital ICU department and F word am I happy about that. Just being in a hospital is scary enough FFS.

Facebook always say "What's on your mind, Michael", and then no one reads it because without pretty pictures they don't have the patience. I guess if you made it this far, you can read and probably can spell too, so I'm not in the mood to try to waylay you with nonsense today.

Here's my deep dive.

  1. All the talk right now is about how we need to "Flatten the curve", referring to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases and deaths. At this point we have 211,000 confirmed cases with over 4,700 confirmed deaths, from all areas of the USA. This is what they came up with after a quarter of a million infections? Well it seems to be a damn fine brain trust if you ask me. Flatten the curve and wait on Mike Pence to tell you what to do. We need to STOP asking the dumbass politicians what to do if you ask me. The state governors (Left and Right) say there has been no real orders to lockdown anything from the task force of the US, and Mike Pence , the VP, and head of the task force, says they prefer it to be handled individually by the states. #KeystoneCops crap. The Governors of Florida, Georgia (where I live) and Mississippi, have all said until recently that they didn't actually see a need for a stay at home order, Florida and Georgia only issued partial ones yesterday , and The Governor of my state said that he was unaware until yesterday , on April 1st, 2020 that people that were showing no symptoms (asymptomatic)could  infect others.

The Federal response has been grossly mismanaged and their ignorance is going to directly KILL hundreds of people.  I don't know about you, but I am so impressed with all of them, FFS.
  2. You remember that National stockpile thing we talked about a couple of days ago? Well it turns out that there is no stockpile, not really. They have emptied it already sending out broken ventilators and equipment to people and places that didnt even request it. It also turns out that American Warehouses in american states, with PPE stocks on their shelves are sending that equipment to other countries (yes things like masks and face shields) because no one told them they shouldn't or couldn't. Let that sink in. Doctors, Nurses and Patients WILL DIE because no one told a warehouse manager he should not just sell to the highest bidder, that he prioritize and should help his own country first.

Allegedly roughly 280 Million masks were shipped to other countries last week and the Governors of Washington State, New York State and 2 others are on every TV show they can get on saying their supplies are limited and they are begging american manufacturers to suspend their own products and start making equipment to get in front of this. FFS I can't understand this. That aint capitalism, that is feckless irresponsible impotent leadership at every single level, Independent, Democrat and Republican. Why not a Defense Production act order?, Why no Federal directives?, Why No Federal Response?, why are we piecemealing this and allowing thousands of real people to die?
  3. I am SICK TO DEATH of the left versus right nonsense and the nonstop Bullshit when it comes to News reporting how people react to it. The invocation of the term "Fake News" when someone reads or hears a story they either do not like or do not agree with is so stupid it makes me brain boil, do these people know how to think critically?

We need a radical change in this country regarding this and I don't care what you think or what this sounds like to you. I do not want the government in control of the News, I'm not talking about the State run media. We do need to Nationalize news coverage is the following ways i think however.

A.) It should be Federal Law that any show labeled as "NEWS" should be immediately 100 % about the facts only.
B.) There should be no room in the news for Political Opinion of any kind.
C.) It shouldn't matter what show you watch, the facts are the same. The only distinction they should be able to make is whether to cover a story or not.
D.) All the talking Heads shows should either comply or they will be clearly labeled as Entertainment with their party designation attached.

People Like Sean Hannity and Rachel Maddow can still have shows, it would be the label that would change. That way you moronic and ignorant one track mind simpletons would not think either one of them are news shows like you do now.

They would be called something  "Rachel Maddow - Democrat Entertainment Show" or "Sean Hannity - Republican Entertainment Show". What we do now is blatant, irresponsible BULLSHIT. Information and public news that serves a profit master and is for sale to a sponsoring ideology is garbage and has to stop and Rupert Murdock can go fornicate himself.
  4. I have friends in the Restaurant business and in talking to them , I'm just going to say I am very proud of their creativity and how hard they are working to try to survive this economic tsunami that has hit our economy. They are doing things I'm sure they never imagined they would have to do in order to stay in business. One person has laid off 70% of their workforce (350+ people) , restructured their workflow, pared down their menus to eliminate waste and dozens of other things in order to survive.

They've seen traffic drop 60% from last year (or more) and their guest counts are down as much as 75% . What they have done may not be enough, but at least they didn't give up and tuck tail and run, declare bankruptcy and walk away. Employee and Manager Hours have been slashed, full time is 25 hours a week, management has started working hourly, overtime has been virtually eliminated, the owners have stopped taking a salary and even all of that may not be enough.

It really proves the old saying that the CEO's primary job is to ensure the continuation of the business, beyond everything else. My friend who is a Truck Owner operator says he is staying very busy , but he has had to adjust where he runs, and what he carries in order to keep moving  which is the maxim in that business. A stopped truck is a broke truck. What are you doing to survive? How are you coping?
  5. Lastly, several people have expressed to me that in one form or another "They are bored and are tired of being stuck home." I did not say anything mean in response because it seemed wrong to do so given the tough times that are here and the storm that is coming, however in a general sense to everyone and not singling anyone out, WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU?

People are dying, they say 250,000 deaths will probably occur as a result of this thing, that it'll kill you no matter who you are and I am the target audience. We cannot stop this thing. We can only take preventative measures and forestall it until it sorta burns out.  Staying at home, not traveling and not visiting others without good cause seems like a small tiny price to pay to keep from killing Grandma wouldn't you think?
Stay well my friends, get pissed off if you want to but don't throw the phone, you may not have a job next week,

BigMike

Bill Gates has spoken PAY ATTENTION you peasant

April 1st, 2020 at about 4:45 a.m. or so

Good Morning carbon based life forms,

There are famous folks that are well known and they are forever linked to exact topics. For example,  I might say Albert Einstein and you might respond with "E=mc2 or The Atomic Bomb" or something like that. I might say Clark Kent and you may respond "Superman". I could go on however the point is to say that we forever seemingly link names to events, good and bad. As a society we sort of always have. It exists in every facet of our personal consciousness and truly amazes me that this is not more widely discussed in some fashion. Maybe it is and I missed it. Famous people become known for a certain topic and then magically they become experts on everything else. Mark Cuban cashed in on the dotcom bubble before it crashed to earth, became a billionaire, bought an NBA franchise and suddenly he is an expert in all things basketball. He's not really, but that doesn't stop broadcasters from asking his opinion on everything under the sun related to basketball. He has parlayed that into TV show appearances and knows more about sponsoring new businesses in  a venture capital sense because , het he has money so that makes him smart right? He has a net worth of 4-5 billion dollars so that means he knows more right? I mean he is a strategic thinker right?

WTF are you talking about BigMike? Well I'm glad you asked that because this is one of those moments that make me go hmmmm, lets talk about some stuff. I think that I'm talking to myself and a readership of about 3 people including family, however for me this is an exercise in processing my own random thoughts more than anything else. I told my wife yesterday that I would not recommend a trip through my brain to anyone, because of the sharp drop offs, the sudden turns and the dark scary alleyways that exist in there. But I digress.

My 5 WTF Moments from today are :

  1. One of the biggest news stories today is an article written by some schmuck asking Bill Gates how he would solve the nightmare created by the coronavirus. If I were President this is what I would do - Bill Gates, Since he is is one of the founders of Microsoft and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and is one of the wealthiest people on the planet alive, it only makes sense that he should know how to get us out of this mess right? The guy who knows how to buy and close up other software companies the fastest , the guy who knows how to write crappy half completed software and call it a "version" , to be updated online after its sold would know more than anyone how to solve this right? I get it, and I know I'm being snarky and smart-assey when I say this , however give me a break. This guy doesnt know more than anyone else, he can just afford to buy the best helpers with PHds who do. It's like that with all of them. No wonder they classify janitors as essential workers.
  2. Ronda Rousey has a knack for reinvention. She is really good at it too. Maybe it is her ability to remain genuine and keep smiling that suckers us in and maybe it is that smile, but somehow she can start left and turn right and we just smoothly follow without realizing there has been a turn. I remember watching her at the Olympics and thinking she was going to be a star and not for Judo either. Olympian, actress, homemaker, wife (sort of), reality star, model, MMA fighter, wrestler , I mean what's left? I am certain she's going to show us and it'll probably be good. This week she is known for being in Quarantine with her mate , Travis Brown and talking about anal sex (which I'm a firm NO on ) with apparently no , zero, repercussions unless you count the comments from assholes littering her twitter account. Amazing.
  3. Why do I blog anyhow? I have about 253 articles , videos, pictures and topics I've written about since 2005 and I just keep writing. Is it fame? Nope, no fame. Is it money? or the chance that one article may be picked up by a rich person to be made into a movie or a book? Fat effin chance of that wouldn't you say? I think I do it to communicate with my associates and family because I am so bad at staying in contact with them. It also makes me happy and fills my spare time better than activities that would require me to get off my fat ass like volunteering at the animal shelter would. Realistically I do not believe there is anyone except me who has read a single post all the way through or who has read all that I have published. I wrote two different books to, no one bought those either. I read them, I think that's it. Prove me wrong.
  4. Do you have a need for some type of computer or electronics cable. If you do please let me know, because I am getting ready to clean out my office, which will include throwing out about 1000 different types of computer, printer, phone, electronic and charger cables. I've got a ton of crap that has gotta go. FREE. FREE. FREE.
  5. If you have ever wondered , I value you as a family member, friend or associate no matter how lousy I am at returning phone calls or answering the phone. Everyone and I mean everyone from my brothers to business associates has told me about this from time to time, about how I never return calls or seemingly never answer the phone when you call. Or maybe it's that I never return your call after you have left a message. I have no excuse , I'm a bum. This is something I am lousy at, except if you have ever left me a message on Skype. For that I'm working on figuring out how to be notified that you've left a message. Right now, I don't have a clue if you called on skype and I don't know why either. I'm working on it.
Have a terrific day and please don't get sick,

BigMike
